Online anime streaming giant Crunchyroll announced the 2022 Anime Awards. The winners were decided by the votes of almost 17 million anime fans and a committee of international judges. In the year 2021, anime fans witnessed a lot of good animes. Animes like Attack on Titans, Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer won awards in many categories.

Here are a Few Winners in Different Categories:

Anime of the Year: Attack on Titan Finals Season Part 1

Part 1 of the final season of the popular anime Attack on Titans won the ‘Anime of the Year award. This anime has won the hearts of anime fans globally. The anime started with humanity’s and Eren Jaegar’s fight against the mystical humanoid creatures called ‘Titans’. The fans have seen the transition of Eren from a protagonist to an antagonist. The character Eren Jaegar has also won the 2022 Crunchyroll Anime Awards for the ‘Best Antagonist’.

Best Film: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Mugen Train Arc

The anime Demon Slayer has created a lot of hype in the year 2021. It is one of the most successful anime films of the year 2021 but it did not just stop there. It completely dominated Crunchyroll’s anime awards with 8 wins in different categories. It also won the award for ‘Best Animation’, ‘Best Score’ and ‘Best Ending Sequence’. Tanjiro’s adventure with his sister Nezuko and two other friends have won the hearts of anime fans globally. This is evident by the number of awards won by Demon Slayer.

Best Action: Jujutsu Kaisen

Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the most promising anime of the year 2021. It is no surprise that it has managed to snap 5 awards this year. It has also won the award in the category of  ‘Best Fight Scene’, for the scene where Itadori and Todi fought against Hanami. The character of Nobara Kugisaki from the anime has also won the award for the ‘Best Girl’.
