With a 109-100 triumph against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, the Golden State Warriors seized a 3-0 series lead and moved closer to a spot in the NBA Finals.
Stephen Curry led Golden State Warriors stole the spotlight after defeating Dallas Mavericks in a heated Game 3. Despite Luka Doncic’s scoring a game-high 40 points, the Warriors snatched the victory from the Mavericks and now stand 3-0 in lead.
Curry led the team with 31 points, while Andrew Wiggins chipped in with 27 points. Klay Thompson scored 19 points, including a pair of key fourth-quarter 3-pointers, as the Warriors came within a win of returning to the NBA Finals for the first time in three years.
“When you’re up 2-0 and you win on the road, it gives you a stranglehold and control of the series. That’s huge,” Curry told reporters.

“We obviously know that the job’s not done, but it’s a good feeling to know that we can play with house money on Tuesday and try and get the job done,” he added.
While Luka Doncic gave it his best with a game-high 40 points, 21 of which were in the 4th quarter when the Mavericks attempted for a comeback.
“I’m still learning,” said Doncic, who also had 11 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks. I think the first two quarters, I played very bad. That’s on me. But I’m still learning. I think after this season is done, whatever we are, I think we’re going to look back and learn a lot of things.“
The Warriors will not take this lead for granted; they memorably lost the NBA Finals in 2016 after leading 3-1 against LeBron James’ Cleveland Cavaliers, and the loss remains a sore spot on this Golden State record.
