The Crunchyroll Anime Of The Year “Jujutsu Kaisen” is getting its 2nd season and the fandom is going crazy
Gege Akutami’s “Jujutsu Kaisen” Anime is officially getting a Season 2 after almost an year break from the last season which ended in March 2021.In a production event in Japan on 12th February, Studio MAPPA announced that the second season for Jujutsu Kaisen is to be aired in 2023.
This came after the release of the a prequel movie for the series named “Jujutsu Kaisen 0” in Japan. The movie was premiered on December 24 in Japan and will be released worldwide by 2022.
Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 was among the Best Animes in 2021. It was even featured in the “Anime Of The Year” award in the ‘Crunchyroll Awards‘. The anime is popular due to it’s epic fight scenes and well written plot. Whereas, the marvellous animation by MAPPA tosses an extra essence to the action packed thriller.
The announcement of the new season has sparked a series of conjecture on how the story is going to unfold. While the manga is still ongoing, the long awaited Anime is expected to break the Internet as well as the Fandom.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 release date
There hasn’t been an exact announcement of the date by MAPPA but it maybe expected by the beginning of the 2023. This maybe a long wait for the fans but considering MAPPA’s brilliant animation and the plot followed by the ongoing manga, it is going to be worth it.

How the Season One of the Anime ended
The end of season one featured an epic battle between Itadori Yuji, Nobara Kugisaki and two of the three Cursed womb brothers named Eso and Kechizu. The series featured a number of plot twists and left the viewers on the edge of their seats with every episode. Itadori Yuji a young guy somehow ends up with a number of supernatural events, followed by his grandfather’s death.
Itadori’s grandfather’s last words play a very important role in Itadori’s character development and how he goes on to help as many people as he can. After his first encounter with Megumi Fushiguro, Yuji ends up swallowing Demon King Sukuna’s finger( A Cursed Object) and gets posessed by the demon itself.
The series moves on with Itadori Yuji, Nobara Kugisaki, and Megumi Fushiguro encountering different life-death scenarios learning more about their powers and how to use them against evil.
