Former Real Madrid general manager Jorge Valdano has commended Karim Benzema for surpassing Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in terms of ability. Benzema has been an absolute standout in terms of clutching games this season.

The Frenchman scored 11 goals in six games for Los Blancos in their Champions League comebacks against Paris Saint-GermainChelsea, and Manchester City. In 44 appearances across all competitions, the 34-year-old has found the back of the goal 44 times.

Benzema, on the other hand, has a total of 44 goals and 15 assists in all competitions. Benzema is the top scorer in both La Liga and the Champions League (27) because of his clinical finishing (15).
