Former Real Madrid general manager Jorge Valdano has commended Karim Benzema for surpassing Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in terms of ability. Benzema has been an absolute standout in terms of clutching games this season.
The Frenchman scored 11 goals in six games for Los Blancos in their Champions League comebacks against Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, and Manchester City. In 44 appearances across all competitions, the 34-year-old has found the back of the goal 44 times.

Comparing Benzema’s ability and potential in front of the goal to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, Valdano applauded Benzema’s numbers.
Ronaldo and Messi both transferred to different clubs this season, while Ronaldo rejoined Manchester United ( An epic nostalgia for football fanatics ), Messi signed Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent. Both the legends didn’t come up with admirable performances this year.
Benzema, on the other hand, has a total of 44 goals and 15 assists in all competitions. Benzema is the top scorer in both La Liga and the Champions League (27) because of his clinical finishing (15).
