Donny van de Beek’s name shone like a diamond when he signed Manchester United in summer 2020 but little did he know that 18 months at the club would feel like an everlasting nightmare in his growing career.
According to the stats, Van de Beek has appeared in four league games for a £40million deal. The 24-year-old has last lined up on December 20 for a game against West ham.
As the winter transfer window will be closed by 11:00 PM on the 31st of January, the playmaker’s next club is long-awaited. Ralf Rangnick, the interim boss at Manchester United has confirmed this month that Van de Beek is willing to leave the club to present himself on the field at regular intervals.
The youngster’s intention for leaving the club can be considered as a result of prolonged ignorance at the club. Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund are the two teams who had been offered the future of the dutchman earlier this month. Later, Crystal Palace has also shown some interest in the midfielder.
Manchester Uniteds Updates
With Van de Beek’s uncertain future, the Red Devils are expecting Paul Pogba to return to the fields in early February. Pogba, the star midfielder at Manchester United’s squad with his agent Mino Raiola after rejecting the offer of an extended deal is free to negotiate with clubs overseas. From getting contacted by P.S.G and Juventus, the picture of Pogba’s presence in United is at stake.
The new formation of 4-3-3 is highly in need of the talented Frenchman who is yet to give his best for the club. Earlier, for his new contract, he demanded to surpass Cristiano Ronaldo and become the highest-paid player in the Premier League. Within a month, the idea for his stay has taken a new turn as the German coach has succeeded in impressing the midfielder with his bright plans for the team.
Pogba is finally willing to stay at Old Trafford under Rangnick’s watch as a permanent Manager. However, Rangnick’s stay can be considered as losing the opportunity for myriad managers across Europe wanting the job.
