Mike McCoy is in the saddle for the Jaguars as their QB coach. NFL Network’s Tom Pelisssero broke the silence on the subject by telling us who is going to take the position, via his Twitter.
Mike McCoy, former San Diego Chargers coach is set to return as a QB coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars after his last role in 2018.
Mike McCoy’s history as a coach:
McCoy has had a coaching experience of around two decades, including 4 years as head coach. Mike was a member of the coaching staff for Carolina Panthers from 2000-2008 and was also seen in the Superbowl XXXVIII featuring the Panthers.
After the 2008 season, McCoy was offered to be the offensive coordinator and QB coach for the Denver Broncos. By the end of 2011, McCoy was approached by Chicago Bears, Arizona Cardinals, Buffalo Bills, San Diego Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles for an interview for the head coach positions. In January 2013, McCoy became the head coach for the San Diego Chargers.

Doug Pederson, The head coach of Jaguars said “That’s obviously the big topic when it comes to the interview. As I look around the league and I even think about the staff that I worked with over — and it evolved. It shaped itself over the five years there in Philadelphia,” Pederson said “At the end of the day, you find guys that you love coming to work with. And we all have the same common goal, to win games.“
