“WATCH”: Brainless protestor invades the playing area during Australian Open final

A fan invaded the court during the Australian Open finale.

Rafael Nadal scripted a fantastic win at the Australian Open finale. He played valiantly and made a fantastic comeback. Even after fighting as much as he could, Medvedev just wasn’t good enough for the ‘Bull.’

Nadal was a bit slow to start with. Medvedev was dominating the rallies, he was ruling the court, and after Nadal was down by two sets, things were looking overwhelmingly in favor of the Russian. However, fate had other plans.

Nadal turned things around in an incredible fashion and ended up winning the contest in 5 hard-fought sets. However, during the game, an incident transpired that caught everybody’s attention in the early stages of the game.

A protestor came into the playing arena holding a banner about ‘Refugee Detention’ running towards the players. However, the security did a commendable job in holding the protestor away. This led to a brief delay during the game.

At the end of the day, it all ended well for Nadal. He came in, he was bruised, but he still conquered. Now he is the only male tennis star to win 21 Grand Slam titles. It will be interesting to see if Nadal wins his 22nd title on Grass Court.
