The packed Santiago Bernabeu Stadium watched silently as Barcelona dominated the game from the start. The change in gameplay and formations under Xavi Hernandez’s command was obvious as the much improved Barcelona swiftly took the win.
The Barcas opened with the first goal in the 29th minute of the game when Ousmane Dembele along with Torres exposed Madrid’s flank and Aubameyang took the shot to Dembele’s cross.

Real Madrid looked helpless while the Barcas kept pushing for the offence. Carlos tried changing the momentum by making two replacements in the half-time, but Barcelona scored again in the first minute of the second half when Aubameyang created an opportunity for Ferran Torres with a backheel and he took the angled shot.
Torres returned the favour to Aubameyang, creating a subtle opportunity towards his second goal of the game.
