SHAMEFUL“: Cricket tournament in Pakistan suspended due to AGE FRAUD

“Falsifying age to become eligible to participate in age-group cricket is not only an offence but a menace,” says PCB high performance director Nadeem Khan.

Age fraud has been a huge problem in Pakistan for years. Recently, The PCB suspended the ongoing National Under-13 and Under-16 tournaments due to concerns over age fraud.

The council will now carry out the third round of additional bone age verification tests to ensure that ‘only deserving cricketers compete in relevant age group competitions’.

The PCB cannot allow false aged cricketers in any manner: Nadeem Khan

Nadeem Khan after this also comes to the point that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will not let these over-aged cricketers cause malignity to the system and stress to the deserving cricketers who have a chance.

The PCB, as the sole governing body of cricket in Pakistan, cannot allow over-age cricketers to take advantage of the flaws in the system and cause demotivation and mental stress to deserving under-age cricketers as well as their parents,” added Nadeem Khan.

Nadeem Khan also added that stating a false age of eligibility to participate in the tournament is a threat that has plagued Pakistani cricket.
